When I recently "upgraded" my keyboard and mouse to a wireless Logitech pair, it didn't even occur to me it might not work at various spots during startup. For instance, the keyboard functions in the CMOS menus, but for Windows 2000/XP bootup options, forget about it. No ability to select an OS for dual boot, no F8 for startup options...
whassup wit dat....! I had to reconnect a wired keyboard to sort everything out once I installed 2000 server for a dual boot setup.

is this to be expected with all wireless keyboards or is this just logitech or what... I guess i'm not surprised in a way, but it works for the CMOS setting, so why not startup options?

anyone?

Hmm good question. I have the Logitech cordless Duo MX keyboard/mouse for my office system and I have not had to do that yet, so I have no clue if it will work in my BIOS or not. Bummer if it doesn't.

That's very odd. I have had no problems with ANY of my logitech keyboards. I have had the Cordless Freedom Pro, the cordless MX keyboard, and the DiNovo Bluetooth keyboard. I have always been able to get into the BIOS. I haven't used Linux in a while, but when I had SuSE 8 duel booting with Win2k, it worked fine.

I suggest you go back and check the instructions. Some require you to connect only the USB or both USB and PS/2 keyboard wires.
