Hey guys this is my first time here and I have a rather annoying problem:
I recently got my computer built, and decided to get the viewsonic LCD flat panel, voted one of the best.
Anyways, I have connected the DVI input into my ATI Radeon 9600XT through DVI input and it will sopmoetimes quit working saying no digital input signal found in the middle of a game or when windows 2000 starts up every now and then.
I can sometimes fix it by taking out the dvi input then reattaching it, it doesnt waork all the time. I NEED HELP!!! Thanks
RADEON 6.14 driver
I have HYDRAVISION 4.3 installed

no it doesn't switch at all. the monitor just goes black and doesnt register anything. I use a CRT analog and it register fine. I looked into hydravisison, not clear what the options are. Sucks I shelled out this money and it won;t connect right.
Sence Im not there...
I can suggest looking at the connectors, make sure they are connect VERY well.. And CLEAN.. Alittle tarnish goes along way.
Only other thought, is the Native mode ISNT DVI, and it Flakes every onece in awhile... but that cant be right, if you can reconnect the DVI plug and it works.

connectors brand new..... yeah someone suggested new drivers, or turn off some settungs (VPU) in ati
Another thing is that THERE ARE different connectors, that look the same... IS the LCD a DVI connection, just asking..
Also waiting for someone to come in here and tell me whats wrong as I dont have this setup..

YEah I made sur eof that. I wanted a digital LCD panel, it has analog and one digital input. someone suggested going to omega and getting driversw to replace ati? and someone else talked about disabling VPU settings.
disabling the VPU could do it, unless you are using it.

I have similar problems with my Gateway LCD monitor and Matrox video card. Sometimes it will lose a signal and won't come back even after replugging the monitor in. It seems to only happen with the DVI input too, as I have not had this happen with the VGA input.
I am not sure what the problem is, my guess is that its the video card, but I cannot confirm this. It hasn't happened in a while and I just leave the monitor on the whole time (even when the computer is powered down) and it seems to be working.

hey i appreciate it man, It really is a huge flaw if more people have this problem with the DVI input. I mean that was a huge selling point for me on that card and getting a flat panel. I do think it is the card. I wish it was addressed by the manufacturers. I'll think about leaving monitor on. I just wantt he lif of the LCD panel to last though
