what kind of RAM to get

Hi all, I'm considering building a computer. I need to know what kind of RAM is best for gaming, and whether it would be better to get 2 sticks of 512mb or 1 stick of 1GB. Also, what number would i need, examples:

PC 2700
PC 3000
PC 3200

yeah I'm a n00b but any help and input would be great.

Need Mobo info. Esp, RAM info.
There are systems that use a Bi channel for the ram, its faster ONLY if you use 2 chipsets.
also need to know the FSB=frontside bus freq you will be using.

As for NAME brand, just dont buy the Funny stuff and you should be safe.

Yeah once we get your motherboard info then we can recommend what speed memory to get. As far as brand, I recommend Crucial and Corsair memory.
