If your PC have WinRar..., Please run WinRar and then de-selected *JAR at Options=>Settings=>Integration.
It should solve your problem.
On the other hand , your should upgrade your DMM to V1.3....( your problem should be solved at this version , please try ^_^
You can download it at next week at
www.philips.com/support

My pc doesnt have WinRar although i was thinking about it. I only bought it yesterday so i'd think that it would be the latest version. Even if it isnt i cant download it from the website because my internet connection cuts off after 2 hours and the download takes longer than that. Ill try a few of those things and see if they work.

The version of the software on the website is only v1.1. Did you mean that v1.3 will come out next week?

I have a new problem. Ive downloaded the program off the internet and when i go to open the program it says "The system cannot find the file specified" Ive checked all the links to see if they go to the correct file and theyre all ok. Im starting to get a bit annoyed with philips.

You try to run the "setup" file inside at the DMM folder .
I have no problem for that...issue

Is there anything i have to do now? When i install it i go to the setup which is in the middle on the bottom row of the files. It installs and i restart my computor. I double-click the item thats on my desktop and comes up with a dialog box saying cannot find the specified file. Im not really understanding what you're saying either so im kinda geussing.

Please uninstall DMM at control panel => Add/Remove Program
and uninstall Sun Java ( JRE ) also through Add/Remove Program
Then
download the latest version 1.3 then reinstall again

Also make sure you disable any firewalls before ibstalling the software. It can interfer with setting up the version of java that is needed.

If you have already tried to install with a firewall on then go to the control pannels and add/remove programs to see if the is a version of 'Java 2 runtime enviorment' list if so remove it before start a new install.
