Hey Guys.....Its nice to finally find a forum of HDD100 users....I thought I was on my own here up to now!

I was a beta tester of the HDD100, so I have had plenty of time to get to grips with the problems. I think many of you were fortunate not to have had to put up with BMM V1.0 and the first firmware revieion!

Playing tracks out of order was a major problem for me....made listening to albums a pain in the arse! I am sticking with V6.6 for now.

Until the release of 6.6 I didn't even use this great looking player....anyhow....during the beta I got to know some guys at Philips, and I spoke to Ross today....he said that they were not aware of the bugs on V6.6 (pauses/ long boot/ ets ets). He took down a list of the bugs, and promised me a call back when they work out what is going to be done about it. I also pointed him to this forum to see that it wasn't just me with the problem.

Here is a trick I have picked up.... if your DMM is not recognising newley edited ID tags:

1) Close DMM
2) Navigate to the PCDMM folder in the Philips program file folder.
3) Delete PDMM file. The bigger one of the two (the one without the square blocks icon). Mine is about 5116Kb.
4) Restart DMM
5) Any files you have changed the ID tags for should now be correctly recognised by DMM.

I will keep you updated when I have a reply from Philips regarding the Firware bugs.

I can't believe some of you guys dont mind having your tracks play in the wrong order!

For people who find the output volume from the player too low I would suggest buying a Boostaroo. It boosts output by up to 40% which means you can save battery power on the HDD100. It also alows a multi-tap on the line out for up to 3 pairs of headphones.

Speaking of cans, if anyone is fed up with the Philips rubbish I would suggest you get a pair of Gredo SR80's (around £90 in UK). These are truely excellent cans, better than Senns when driven by my HDD100 :)
