Some progress but DMM recognises MP3 tracks but not WMA.
Any answers to why this is would be appreciated.

Many thanks

As your WMA with DRM... that mean you buy from internet...
or you are create from CD using the Windows media player.... if yes, please un-click the Copy Protect item

What bit rate and sample rate are they recorded at??

do the files appear then disappear in the PC lib or do they not show at all??

Are they in a folder of mixed MP3 and WMA's??

Bit is 96kps.
Files show in PC but when transfered to DMM,they show in DMM as
"No artist found"
No title found"
if i play my hdd060 the tracks all play ok but i just can,t see the info.
There not in a mixed folder.

Feegy, Have you added id3 tags to your mp3/WMA files? If not you will need to get an mp3 Id3 tag editor program and add the required tag info to your mp3 song files. Id3 tags include Artist (name), Album (name), Track (name), Track #, Genre, at the least. This info is embedded inside the mp3 file headers and is what the Philips needs to function properly. Artist/song names as the mp3 file name is not enough. This is why your player is showing 'No artist found' etc. The Philips does not use the mp3 file name in any way.

If you need a great free one get MP3Tag at:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
It will tag WMA files too.

Hope this helps.
