Are there any secondary AC adapters that will work with the VPR Matrix 120 series laptops? Are there any other laptops that use the same adapter type? Would the 110 Series adapter work with it? Could I use one of those "Universal AC Adapters" like seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31517&item=3476925412&rd=1 ?
Thanks,
DS
Im not real sure, but heres what to look for...
Look at the laptop, there should be a voltage and amps.
1. something like 18DC(NOT AC) volts and around 4-6 amps.
2. Connector... 2 space 3 space connectors, looks like a mono plug(2 space) or stereo(3 spaces).
If its 3 space NOT, you wont find it, its dual powered from the transformer.
3. Which connection is + and which is - as this is DC, and swapping this can mean the difference between a working comp and a door stop.

So do you think I should try out that universal one?
EDIT:
On the bottom of the laptop:
INPUT: 19V -- 4.2A(MAX)
hope that might help abit.
The advert dont say the amps...
Why not buy one from VPR, or who ever bought them out.

The only place that has them is Bestbuy and I think 60shipped for it is a little much. I might end up doing that but I hope I can find an alternate route:)
you wont get one guerentied to work for much less.
Perhaps you can fix yours.
