Saw this movies last weekend. I gave it a B to B- score. I thought the computer animation and special effects were top-notch. I felt like the story followed Independance Day too much though.

I enjoyed the movie thoroughly!:)

I love how the hero intends to go alone and save the day, but the friends always tag along saying something like "I've been watching your back forever. Why would I quit now?" Then the good old friend the hero can count on up and gets himself killed. I also love how there's always a young couple that manages to get all mushy and lovey-dovey in such a time of disaster. Or what about the ******* world leader that always ignores the problem during the whole movie and then has a change of heart at the end? Yes, I saw this movie. And as cheesy as it was, I had fun seeing the cool effects and the formulaic disaster plot elements. I give it 762 out of 1209 crushed empty pop cans.

So the main character lost a good friend in order to save his son. How selfish!! :D

If I were Dennis Quaid I would have been like, "Good luck with that ice, son."

I was listening to Art Bell tonight and all the callers were referring to this movie as "your movie Art" as they were discussing real life possibilities...

Did he actually have anything to do with it?

I hate romantic subplots thrown in to certain movies just to draw in the female audience (according to studio exec philosophy). The more lasting, memorable movies, do away with such nonsense.
