Has anyone seen the new Nomad Zen Touch? From what I read about it, it was sounds really cool. I mean, who DOESN'T want 24 hours of playback? If you haven't heard about it, you can read about it here: here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00028DJTY/ref=amb_right-3_94074_3/103-8504156-3253466). If you know something about it, please share!

Why do they call it "touch"? I it looks like it has similar buttons to the Apple iPod. 24 hours of playback is pretty sweet. I am curious to hear what others say about it too.
BTW, welcome to the Designtechnica forums!

The verticle bar in the center is a touch pad, like the iPod non-moving wheel thingy.
I wish ppl would make >20 gig portable players. I need 80+!!!
Ya know,
What would make this totally cool.
Car adaptor and a FM wireless adaptor.
It would make all of them COOL.
Why didnt he send us to the Creative site, insted of amazon...

I went to the Creative website and they didn't have much on it...at Amazon they had the review for it, so it had a little more info. That's why I sent you there.

Good idea. Creative has always been very protective about their products from a marketing perspective. They rarely send out samples for review and try to control the review process. I suppose they think this will prevent any bad press, I don't know.
If this new player seems to be as hot as everyone says, I will just go out and buy one for review on Designtechnica.

I'm definetly getting this or an iPod since my other MP3 failed. Probably the Zen since, well, the battery life. THREE TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE IPOD! Wonder how Creative did it.
At 3lbs, can you guess....

According to the review, it's less than half a pound.

I assume its a Lithium-ion battery? Does the iPod have a lithium-ion battery too? I have heard stories about the battery life on those iPods not being so great over time. Probably loses its life just like a laptop battery.
