You can download it from:

http://home.comcast.net/~foglem/UpdateHDD060DB.zip (351KB)

It's a command-line tool that let you copy directly the MP3 files to the HDD060 from explorer (even distributed in folders), and then, running it will update the data base to make the MP3 "playables". Source code is included.

Next quote from Sveta Portable Audio forums (http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=4606):

Hi guys,

I have created small program which cleans HDD060 database, finds all *.mp3 files stored in your HDD060 and updates the DB.
I'm not used to programming GUI, so my tool does not have any, although it would improve it's performance (HDD060 DB would not be created from scratch, when you add only one mp3 file). I can't promise any imrovements (except some bug fixing) , but I can let you use it.
I guess you are interested, but I don't have any web page where I could publish it. Could somebody of you publish it?

PS: Sveta Portable Audio replaces the cumbersome program that was supplied with your mp3 player, no longer do you need to go through 1 million steps just to send a file. More info here (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/sveta-portable-audio.htm)

The author of this tool has rendered a website to place this tool, now called DHAT (DMM Hater's Tool).

You will find it at:

http://dhat.webpark.cz/

PS1: Backup your "MyDB" file to prevent any eventual disaster

PS2: "Sveta Portable Audio" is shareware, 19US$ for registered version.

DHAT has been updated to version 0.2. Changelog:

- added checking validity of track number in ID3 Tag
- now DHAT waits for press of any key when it's about to finish
