If you are autosubscribed it should send you an email everytime someone posts something new as long as it is within a certain time limit .. So it doesn't send you an email for every post if multiple posts happen in a short amount of time.

You have 2 unsubscribe to the thread before it will let you subscribe to it. Maybe your email is broken??
