You should duck after the throw, much more effective :P

Thanks for the warm welcome. I found this site while searching for technical forums related to my job. I think it's tough though. I work with broadcast transmitters and the techs in this field seem to be an older crowd. hence, no good forums to be found. Since my job is RF though I have found somewhat of a home at www.rfcafe.com. If ya want to know a little bit about me and what I do please check out my site in the sig.
How good are you in RF??
Can you make stuff..?
I need an IR illuminator...

Hey, I'm not an engineer so I don't really design, just repair service and installation. Someone may already make what you are looking for though.
They do, but only WITH IR scopes...
I only need the illuminator part.
I have a great market for them already..

Sure, better make sure I'm not home though. I shoot first and ask questions later. Or maybe I'll resort to other tortures :smack

Thanks man. Wish I had more time to enjoy it and perfect it all. You're right I don't have enough
As far as PC games I've been playing Asheron's Call for a few years. More recently I played WC3 for a little while. I haven't had much time to play anything new. I'm awaiting World of Warcraft for my next MMORPG.
As you probably can see I also have an x-box. I've had it since it's release but only have a handfull of games. Too many hobbies I guess. Limits the gaming budget. Mostly play networked Halo with friends and some Project Gotham or Need for Speed Underground. Looking forward to Fable's release at this point.
What do you play?

Well, I'll just have to stalk you to find out what times you're not home then. ;) :P
Hey, tell us more about what you do and RF then. :)
ya,
what freq's you use or like, and can you do hardware building... Or just repair..
Myself, I like the Low freq, for its ability to go threw and around stuff, even tho its Slow, for wireless Mouse and KB, it would be great. But so many companies Dont understand this..

I can work with a wide range of freq's, but mosty I work with broadcast TV equipment so for work I am mostly in the VHF and UHF bands roughly 50mHz - 900mHz. I don't do any design, not sure what you mean by building. I install, service, repair, test, tune and proof the equipment that is manufactured by our company in Italy.
Myself, I like the Low freq, for its ability to go threw and around stuff, even tho its Slow, for wireless Mouse and KB, it would be great. But so many companies Dont understand this..
Different bands have so many different charachteristics. L-Band (1.4gHz) is a "high" freq and it can tunnel and bounce very well. So it's not just a low and high thing. One thing you have to realize about RF equipment is that the freq's the manufacturers are allowed to use are regulated by the FCC. So maybe there's a better band for wireless accessories (like L-band) but it's not available to be used for such things becuase it's already allocated for another use. The spectrum is very full and nearing max capacity.
I recently have tried Far Cry, which is amazing, but dont have any time to play.
BTW, I knew someone who worked on the scripting tool for Asheron's Call. It apparently was very popular, but I never played that game.
