mmm I love the look of this. $250 is a lot of money though. May have to save up for it.

I totally recommend it. It is probably my single favorite piece of computer hardware ever!

I was wondering if it was required to use the mouse hub to connect the keyboard to the computer. One would assume that but if it is at all possible I would rather invest in the new mx1000 laser mouse and sell the mx900 and of course not losing the keyboards connectivity with the computer. Any ideas?

In response to the above two posts, yes I think it is worth the cost. The bluetooth range and flexability is FAR superior to the RF version.

And yes, the mouse dock/recharge stand is where the receiver is. The MX1000 uses the fast RF tech they have in the MX Desktop Duo, so you are correct that you would ahve to have 2 mouse charging stands. My advice would be to wait for a couple months for the Bluetooth version (No insider info here, just assuming based on their past offerrings - BT follows by 4-8 months after the RF version)

Thanks for the info NeuroKing.

So would you suggest I purchase the DiNovo NOW and then in a few months invest in the bluetooth version of the MX1000?

Once again you are a big help

I would say that if you absolutely can't wait, the DiNovo is an incredible system as is, and I doubt you will be disappointed with it. If you have the disposable income, grab a MX1000 BT version when it comes out, BUT first evaluate if you really need it. I haven't had a chance to try the MX1000 yet, but I have played with higher res 'gaming' mice and lower res regular ball mice, corded and uncorded, and find even the MX700 to be just as good as the high resolution ones.

On the subject, I'm wondering if the resolution questions even matters for mice. Most lcds are 1280x1024 that measure 17"-19". We're not talking SQUARE inches, just linear, so if you mouse has the ability to move 1000 'points in a line' per 'inch mouse is moved', who cares? The screen can only display 70-some pixels per inch. Even with gaming, you're telling the screen to adjust by some distance that the mouse is moving, but if that distance is less than the screen resolution, there will be no movement.

Just food for thought. I would highly recommend getting a test drive of the MX1000 before assuming it's the best mouse. New tech sure is cool, but in this case, I'm not sold yet. (read: Logitech... I need a review unit!)
