Great prog for killing BOTS/trojans/Adware/cookies/hijackers/dialers/traking progs/MALWARE/... OFF your machine..
Tools:
for Tweaks, browser pages, active X, startup utility, Process list, and and OPT OUT program...Lots more also.

I have it and use it often. Great little program, but the main problem out there now is CABs that are added to the registry to run at every boot or loading of IE. Adaware and Spybot both have problems with those.

ya, I have seen that in those lists...
ALOT of progs are loading and reinstalling as soon as they get on the net.

And I dont see a way to stop that besides Edit the REG...
But, I think, Spybot has a reg edit...in the tools section.. Some MEAN tools in there.

I was have a few problems and ran the Spybot tools on my system(TODAY).
It found an active X Malware... Spyblaster Blocked its running, but didnt kill it...I KILLED IT.
Im starting to REALLY like this prog...
DO run the tools, or at least look at them...IF YOU KNOW what you are doing...

by looks...nobody really is.
But I think 99% dont even know there are advanced features. Let alone how to use them.
Im getting better at it. But theres features I didnt KNOW about, including the BLOCKED server listing, that comes from there site also. and its pretty big.

How do you think it compares to Adaware?

I have only used Adaware one time.. On another persons comp.
Havent had time to evaluate it yet.

I take my time when Im learning a utility... I HATE messing up my comp, MYSELF.
I do see that it HATES cookies, and ActiveX, and cleans them out VERY well.

From my experience with SpyBot, it think it blows adaware out of the water with the advanced features and tools. Plus, I was able to run it after boot before the whole OS ran, so it could remove some spyware that infested my box.

YEP, I like it... And the tools and Utilities are GREAT...
Also has a SITE AVOID listing...IF you Load and run it.

My System is clean except for this one thing called DSO Exploit that keeps coming back after i delete it. What is this anyhow?Is there a way to get rid of it permanantly Spybot is the only program that picks it up?............Jim :vivi

Hi everyone.
Just found this site this morning and spent the last 3 hours looking around (Must get broadband soon !!).
What a fantastic place this is.
I am fairly new to this puter stuff but am learning more each day. I indeed use spybot as recomended by you and lots of others and it is a wonderful utility but not understanding it fully, I would love to know more about how to use the advanced features.
here's hoping the knowledgable among you can help us newbies out !
p.s I would have voted on the poll, but only just having registered, I presume I am not allowed yet !!
