When i play wmp9 on my newly upgraded OS Windows XP I get an error message of internal application error. Downloaded WMP9 from net and still same error message.Anyone help? PS why does windows XP disable my antivirus function in Norton Systemworks2003?

I personally think Norton Systemworks 2003 is a terrible program. Anyone here on the boards will tell you that Systemworks gives everyone problems. I would recommend Tuneup Utilities instead.

What is the error message you are getting while trying to play WMP 9? Chances are that the SystemWorks program either deleted a critical file you need or that its preventing you from playing WMP because it views a vurnerability in the program somewhere.

Nortons products tend to "TAKE OVER THE SYSTEM".
Windows dont like this.
Windows wants to be incharge, so they clash ALOT. The utilities are GREAT, if ya know what you are doing, and dangerous if you dont.

tksfor replying toman, ECA The error now only reads internal application error. After i tried reloading MP9 the original error box read there was an error with reference nos. not matching??? no error code was there. Take norton off the system...ok which method if u don't mind me asking, is the best deletion option? Tks again

Have it UNINSTALL itself, OR Control panel, Add/remove programs..
