There has been a sighting of a Nissan Maxima driving around downtown Chicago in a suspected wardriving activity. The pictures are our proof.

If ya see that Litte red Spot on the Front grill, I'D say its a KIA.

The antenna does work and we have been having a **** ton of fun crusing down the loop area of the city. The beast is strapped down by bungie cords through the moon roof and is attached to the center console. We are able to reach networks that we know are 4 miles away according to the GPS. The major down side is that the speed limit is 25 without risking the dish being ripped apart.

Hey what about those plastic cubby things that you put stuff in to go camping? You know it fits on the top of cars that have roof racks. The dish might fit in one of those and this would allow you to achieve greater speeds. You could just design some other way to secure it better and reduce the wind drag.

the problem with the conntainers is that it can severly dampen the wi/fi signal. we may be able to mount it in the back seat as long as there is no one back there.

Its that ANY metal obstruction can distort the signal..
The ones they use on Radar dishes is ALL fiberglass or acrylic. With no metal except on the base.

I think acrylic would probably be the best choice for a container or at least what the antenna views out ... IE cut a hole in the camper carrier

you can also, make a TIGHT netting over it, and it should work. And break the wind pretty good also. NYLONS..
