Mikey AKA "mikeywalnutz" passed away this morning. He had muscular distrophy. I believe he was about 26 years old. He was a close friend of Dan and I. Some of you might remember him from his posts about movies in the off topic forums, he loved movies and watched them any chance he could get.

He will be missed by us all.

Mike was a great friend and a wonderful person. My family and I will miss him tremendously. He was an extremely talented person, not letting his condition stopping him from enjoying life. He graduated college with an english degree, tutored people in english, wrote movie reviews, loved to play texas hold em poker, and was writing a screen play among many other things. I'm thankful that even though he lives in a different state then I, that I was able to frequently see him, and that my family and I were able to spend the weekend with him 2 weeks ago.

Rest In Peace Mike Keoprasith, Aug 22nd 2004.

Just in case anyone is interested, you can make a donation to MDA (muscular distrophy association) straight from their website (http://www.mdausa.org). Scroll to the bottom or click here (https://secure.mdausa.org/donate/donate.cfm).

For my 5 year anniversary back in July, my work maked a donation to a charitable donation. I asked Mikey what I should make it in and he suggested in Summer camp, intermediate SMA (SMA Type 2), or research. If anyone wishes to make a donation, I recommend making it in one of those areas (you can specify when donating on their site.)

Thanks
