This is a basic toolkit for car stereos. This is mainly for installation and upkeep of the system. If you are planning any sort of custom box this will only be a starter point. Later on I will add a FAQ about box creation.
Screwdrivers- both flat head and Phillips in various sizes. Do not use an improper fit screwdriver and complain when you scratch and or damage your new equipment. The right sized screwdriver is MUCH cheaper then any new component.
Wire strippers
Multimeter
12v(or higher depending on vehicle power) test light or a Circuit tester
Socket kit
soldering iron
solder (I prefer rosin core)
solder sucker (speeds things up when redoing a connection)
spare fuses
Butt Splice Connectors (they make for cleaner connections)
heat shrink tubing
lighter or heat gun
Am I forgetting anthing?
