I have been looking at replacing my stock radio with an after market upgrade but I could not bring myself to do it. I have a 1999 Chevy blazer with the strreing wheel radio controls and I am rather used to using them. So up until now I thought I was either going to have to use the stock until I had to repace it or give up the controls. Once again crutchfield came to my rescue with this little gadget that will take the controls and program your head unit (if it has a remote input) so that they are usable again.

Very cool. I have sterring wheel controls on both of my cars and there is no way I could ever give them back up. I feel your pain, glad you could find a solution!

This will be just a temo solution if I can decode the signals the controls send out. I want to build a switch box and a rs232 adaptor for the thing. The switch box will be so I ccan choose between radio controls or computer controls. I plan on taking the most common keys/macros and haveing 1 steering heel button launch it.
