Hi,

I just purchased a Diamond Viper 9600xt 256mb DDR agp video card for my system. However, after I installed the card, my computer will not boot up past the POST. It will only show a flashing cursor in the top left corner of the screen and will not proceed any further.

I used to have an nVidia 64mb 440x video card in there before.

I remember on an older computer that I used to own, I had to play with the jumpers on my diamond card (it was a 770, I think). Now, there are jumpers on this new video card as well, however I do not have a manual to configure it (my nVidia card does not have jumpers on it).

If someone know where I can find a manual online, or if someone knows the jumper configuration, please let me know. If it has nothing to do with the jumpers, please help.

As far as I know, I meet all the minimum requirements. I even went in the CMOS and made sure the information was correct, as per the quick install sheet told me to do.

Here is some information on my system.

P4 2.0Gig processor
1 Gig DDR ram
Aopen motherboard
300watt power supply

Please let me know if you need any more information, or if you can help me. Thanks.

I would not mess with the jumpers on this card. You might need to plug a connector from your powersupply into the card in order for it to work. Also try disabling the onboard video if you have it.

Lastly, try calling Diamond tech support and see what they say.
