Sup? I just bought a Infinity 10" Subwoofer (1030W) for my s10 extended cab pickup, what kind of amp (or any brand you guys like, I was thinking Audiobahn) should I buy to power the sub?

Subwoofer: Features a single copper voice coil and stamped steel basket to keep everything secure.

Polypropylene cone: With rubber surround gets the bass going.

1000 watts peak power: Get the hard-hitting bass you're looking for in your car audio system.

Oh yeah the amp i was thinking about was:

Audiobahn 2-Channel Amplifier (A4002T)
ADB A4002T • 100 watts RMS at 4 ohms
• 2-channel • High and low pass filters
• Speaker-level inputs

Will that power it?

I think Audiobahn is a pretty low-end brand right? I have always liked Alpine amps.

1000WATT PEAK, Speaker...
And a 100WATT RMS amp...(about 200 peak)

I get a feeling you WONT like the bass.. I'd at LEAST 2.5 TIMES that.
This speaker will SUCK all the power you send to it, and NOT really feel anything.

so you would go for like a 250 watt amp?

You wont top your speaker out.
But in the LEAST, yes.

Any way to borrow one and test what you will get?

The amp will not be able power the sub. As soon as you crank it up you are going to use the bass. I would go with at least an 800watt amp or get a smaller sub. The subs will be drawing to much power to be able to move.

umm.. haha... no not really. I also have a factory installed headunit... do i need to replace it? and also, whitch one should I do first? the amp and sub or headunit? I don't think i can do both at once. thanks so much eca.

Look at the head unit that you want to get and see what sounds the best in it. I have always gone the head unit first and then the rest of the system. This has allowed me to check the other componets that i am looking at and hear the diffrence between the components. Make sure the head unit has all the features that you want otherwise you are going to be replacing it before it is needed.

ANOTHEr thing about the AMP. Its better to be ABLE to Crank it down, then to BOOST it to the MAX. Make sure it can be adjusted output...
