LAptop for Online gaming (Lineage II, Final Fantasy XI)

Hello,

I am looking to buy a laptop for online gaming, I have looked around and found some intresting stuff but are not sure as to what to buy. The main game I play is FFXI.

Please tell me your experiences with the laptops you have and give me some idea as to what to look for or specific models which are good.

3D, and First person games DONT work well with laptops...
they take so much ram, Video, and sound that laptops can be left struggling to keep up.

WHY would you want a laptop to do this?? Its Portable, take it to school, work and other places....forget gaming.

For gaming, you WANT to sit for a LONG period of time 4+ hours... might as well get a PORTABLE and a LCD screen...Cheaper, and much better at gaming, and expandable, upgradable.

I know they dont work well in laptops, I do have a nice system at home which I use when I am there, but I am normally on the road (work), sleeping away from home almost half the time...
I do travel with a laptop, so why not change it for a better one to be able to take FFXI with me ???
