I've bought a new HDD070, transferred some files to it but got the exclamation mark on it. I deleted all files but the space left on the hard drive is still reduced by the files that were on it. I guess I need to format the drive but don't know how. Can anyone help? I'm using DMM 3.0 on Windows XP.
Cheers

Have you tried to connect and run the DMM? if this did not repair the fault then you can format but all your files and data will be gone from your hdd070.
To format connect the usb and power supply to the hdd070. Once the USB connection is displayed on the screen of the hdd070 open windows explorer, select the drive letter which is your hdd070 then right mouse click and perform a quick format. After this is complete start up the DMM and this will recover back the device. You should then be able to use as normal.

IF you do a full format it MUST BE fat 32... Then RUN DMM to install the data needed to use the drive.
