HDD100 takes ages to start up

Hi all,

Since I've been adding about 1000 mp3 files on it, my HDD100 needs at least 2 minutes to get passed the "PHILIPS" title sreen.

Did this happen to any of you, and is there something I can do about it ?

How Many song at your device? It will affect the startup time.

This could help...do a 'defragment' on the hdd drive while it's connected to your pc and shows in Win file explorer.

If this problem persist, I would format the drive, let DMM load the software, make sure the firmware is current and reload your mp3 files. After that do a defrag. The HDD will still need about 10-12 seconds to boot. I have 2300 songs and thats my boot time.

In fact, after 'forcing' the defragmentation on my HDD, it now starts in about ... 10-12 seconds ;)
