Hi,

yesterday after school, i tried to listen to my hdd100 in the train like every day. but no matter what i did, it just didn't react - i tried the power-button and a reset (volume up and triangle up) several times but nothing happened. later at home i connected the hdd100 to the power cord and tried to power it up or reset it - nothing. it even doesn't react when i connect the usb-plug (with or without power cord). the battery is definitely not empty...

what am i supposed to do now?! (it's just about one month old)

I would suggest,
Taking it back to where you bought it..
A good bump on the Hard drive can kill the drive...
And I think Philips is REALLy having a hard time..

A similar thing just happend to me :'(

My philips hdd100 finished charging, i went to plug it into my pc via usb, wouldn't work came up with an errorr on the pc. I try turning on the mp3 player, but it wont boot up. When i listen carefully it sounds like it had bad sectors, and its repeatedly trying to read a certain area, and eventually fails :( i havn't dropped it.....taken care of it, all of a sudden now not working :@

If you sonsider that 1 in 10,000 Hard drives are bad, and that 1 in 1,500 fail soon after use, Then haveing a BAD HD every once in awhile(ALOT Less then 1%) means little.

Well if i dont end up getting a receipt for my hdd100 and philips wont repair it for me, looks like i'll be opening mine up. Damn thing, i got it from an ebay shop, and the player isn't sold in australia :( so not alot of chance in me getting it repaired here.

You may be closer then you think...check there site, they have locations Everywhere EXCEPT the US and america's....

YOUR PAYMENT should be your reciept. IF it shows WHAT you bought, and when...

Then I would complain to the person you bought it from...and THEN to EBAY..

NOW, you do have another thing to do...Contact the manufactour, and give them the serial number and see what they SAY about the product.
Stolen, hijacked, LOST, OLD model, or what... And discus it with EBAY...
