Help! "Sign On Blocked" from AIM!

When I try to sign on AIM I get the message, "Sign On Blocked. Click More Info for details." I do not have an AOL account so it is not due to a cancellation. It is also not due to parental controls or being a minor. The only reason left is a violation of the terms of service. I don't know how I could have done this. I'm a nice person! How do I figure out why I am blocked and fix this? I called AOL the other day and the man speaking to me told me to go to AIM.com and do a Report Problem. I did this. It doesn't seem like it will be very effective. Maybe there is another number I can call? Please help me!

I dont know if this is the problem but I have had friends that downloaded the latest Windows Update Service Pack 2 and after they downloaded it they could not use their MSN Instant messenger. So if you downloaded Service Pack 2 that may be your problem.......Jim :vivi

No I'm sure it's not that. Other people are able to sign on AIM on my computer yet my screenname cannot sign on. I've read other people's similar problems and they said they've called AOL and have recieved a reason as to why this happened. Can someone give me the number you called?

Try Dl a NEW version of AOL IM...
Dont care if you GOt the current version. Do it again.
Remember your password and NAME..

I downloaded the newest version of AIM again. Still doesn't work. Agh!

Then I would contact AOL..

That or something has killed it on YOUR SIDE...but that isnt REAL easy without killing other stuff.

Yea, I wasn't the service pack, I just downloaded it and MSN works fine. Does anyone else use your AOL Messenger? Perhaps try a different email address........Jim :dunno

sign up again, with diff info...see if that works.... If it does, you HAVE TO contact AOL. THEY BANNED YOU for some reason.
