Back for more Q&A :dunno
1-Intel P4 3.2Ghz Prescott or Intel P4 3.0? + What's the Difference?!?
2-Corsair or Kingston HyperX RAM? Single stick of 512.
3-Is a dual layer DVD burner really worth that extra $30?
4-Is 350W really enough for say.. P4 3.0, 512, 120GB, Radeon 9600 [256] running XP for home use.
3. DUAL LAYER, +$30...GO for it..
4. 350watt?? NEVER.. I like abit of over kill, and ability to EXPAND... 2 hard drives or MORE will suck that thing down, extra fans (ALWAYS).
trick with PS, is like the RMS rating on speakers... Rather use 50% of its rating or LESS. 50% will last forever, 70% will last about 1 year, 90+% will last about 1-7 days. The PS we buy have a Effiecentcy rateing, and the LOWER prices relate to QUALITY most are not OVER 65%, anything OVER that is VERY expencive.

spring the extra 30 and get a 450W i guess. dont know if i'll even be adding another hd in.
you WANT the extra power, even the NEW vidoe card require extra power form THE PS...
ya, even if you wont be buying a second hard drive anytime soon, I'm sure you'll eventually get another video card. If you dont have enough juice to run the video card when it really needs it (like a good game) then your system will have problems. Get the extra wattage. If you can get a dual layer dvd for $30 more, I'd get that too. I'd let others respond to the prescot and memory questions

Intel's Burns, however, says Prescott is moving according to schedule, and he says the new chip is merely another way for Intel to target a specific market.
Intel has said Prescott will include 1MB of L2 cache, a new set of processor instructions, and improvements in Hyperthreading technology.

Just another way to ADD $ to the price...
It does work, but they TRIED it long ago on Lower mhz chips and it wasnt fast enough to use it.. So they DROPPED it, and went to smaller cache...NOW they want it back.

decided on a 460W dual fan under 100CDN. =D
GOOD,
NEVEr under-estimate what LOSS of power or LACK of power can do to a computer...NEVER. Rather OVER RATE then DIE during a game.
