We have decided to have a clothing line available for purchase through Cafe Press. Here is the link: http://www.cafeshops.com/cp/store.aspx?s=designtech.0

I personally like the Grey T-shirt, the Long Sleeve shirt and the Baseball Jersey the best.

On sale now for eighteen thousand million!

I might just get one, now that I have a second shirt to order from cafepress... I was looking all over for something to buy with the Gentoo Linux shirt, didnt want to order just one thing...

Turns out the gentoo shirt is on sale, so it's closer to $20 than $25 (it's a shirt plus $10 donation) so now i can buy two shirts while making 2 donations! It's win-win.

Oh, and since it's over $40, free shipping!

Baseball jersey is my favorite too. I've often wanted to make some shirts just for kicks for me and my friends, but I'm just not creative enough to think of anything worth putting on a shirt. Oh well....sorry, but I definitely won't be getting the designtechnica beach hat :D

haha, yeah the beach hat is ghetto, especially if you dont live on the beach!

We will be making our own T-shirts and giving them away as prizes or selling them here in a month or so.

Who does the graphic art stuff in their spare time?

I would rank the DT apparel on order of coolness in the following manner :)

1. Baseball Jersey
2. Hooded Sweatshirt
3. Golf Shirt
4. Coffee Mug
5. The rest ...

I don't really think I'm that great, I just like to dink around in photoshop for fun like most people (I think.) My main problem is that I'm just not real creative on making things from scratch for no reason, man I hope that makes sense. Anyway...I would give it a go if you really wanted...though I wouldn't expect miracles outta me.:P

.....and there's still no DT thong

IronSerif

While I am not to crazy about Ironserif wearing the DT thong, I do think that a DT thong would be pretty high on my list of items to buy. Now I just gotta finda the right woman to give them too ...

Oh ya I forgot about my girl friend. Here I took a picture of her in a shirt I made.

http://www.llbbl.com/dt_ad.jpg

What do you guys think? Sorry I couldn't have her model the underwear. :P

senoryoshio

Hey vin...looks good, but you forgot the last "c" in technica; easily fixed.

llbbl

Aww crap I will have to fix that later. Good thing I saved it as a .psd.

IronSerif
11-06-2002, 08:33 AM
Just a thought - maybe we should also do something to incorporate our slogan of "Your gateway to a Hi-Tech liftestyle" into the logo?

llbbl
11-06-2002, 08:35 AM
Nah they will see that when they come to the site. Does McDonalds have " We make you smile " in their logo?

Ioman
11-06-2002, 08:36 AM
Ok you guys, I added a ton more products.....including Iron Serifs thong!!! Just don't wear it around me man!

Tell me what you think about the new products?

I like the new selection!

Did you just include everything that they offered so we couldn't complain anymore? :p

Pretty much!! Actually I only included those items which I felt would look good with our logo. I dont like the white patches on the colored items, I think it makes them look cheap. Make sense?

llbbl

I could fix that pretty easy in photoshop.

Make the background transparent if they support .png files to upload. Change the color of the logo if the colors clash.

Not that we have to do it. The selection is quite large as it is.

Damn I can't edit posts in this thread. You quoted me before I had a chance to change my grammar error.

Well its not that. If you look at like their grey or black items, they have a white "patch" on them where our DT logo would go. I could make the background of our logo transparent but it would not help. I just don't like the white patch.

llbbl
11-06-2002, 09:04 AM
Well in that case you would have to change the background of the logo to black or grey along. Changing the color of the logo is considered to be a bad thing because you want a standard across all mediums, but I think in this case you could change it to white.

The white patch on the site might just be an example of where the logo will end up. It might not actually be part of the shirt design, given that you have tried uploading a transparent logo.

I don't know if I'm clearing up any confusion or just adding to it, but by the "white patch" that Io was talking about is an actual, physical, iron-on patch like the one on this vest
http://www.cafepress.com/cp/images/blankthumbnails/66_F_TN.jpg

So adding a gray/black background wouldn't really help much, kinda sucks...though embroidery might be difficult, especially for complex logos, etc.

and i was dinkin' around with the logo you are using for the clothing and made this after a few minutes...nothing too exciting, but I might as well share. I couldn't figure out what font you use...oh well, a learning experience. Turned out like so

senoryoshio hit the nail on the head. Thanks for posting the pic of the fleece jacket. That white patch is exactly what I was talking about.

Nice logo too btw!

Can you make us some animated gif banners in 468x60 size using the new logo at Cafe press? we need 468x60 and 125x125 banners.

I still havent' fixed mine ;) I was just fooling around of course. I needed a graphic for the girl's shirt. Speaking of which, does anyone else have problems with the image loading ?
