hey guys im having trouble ideintifying my graphics card. I know its radeon 9600 series but no which model. When i went to atiinfo.exe it said 9600 pro agp. Heres a screanshot of that: http://www.monkeyfiles.net/iuploader/ddddasda.jpg
Its either an se or a pro. It came in an se box but at the time i got it there was a manufacturing problem were they put pros in se boxes which is what i heard. A lot of people did get pros and i might be one of them. Any help?
someone please reply! :doh
Ok,

Drivers dont ALWAYS say...
FIND...DXDIAG.EXE....RUN it...
SELECT the VIDEO/display TAB
THAT should tell you..
it doesnt.al it says is 9600 series
But what is the OTHER info shown??
Chipset, RamDac, RAM, Drivers, Version....
chipset:radeon 9600 series AGP
RAMDAC:Internal DAC 400 mhz
RAM:128mb
Driver:ati2dvag.dll
version:6.14.0010.6476
http://www.ati.com/products/radeon9600/radeon9600pro/compare.html
Look at the RAM speed...
400mhz is the same as above...
9600 or 9600 SE
that is all Iv found...

Ya, he has the 51, and you the 50...
and the chipset name. He has 9600 SE series and mine says nothing about SE. On my adapter info it says pro. This is why im doubting it to be an se. HE has an SE for SURE. I dont know what i have. The reason i dont think mine is an SE is because his dxdiag is different. It has a different chip type than me. If i had an SE,dont you think mine would have te same chiptype as him? AWouldnt it be a pro?
simple Answer:
Yes.
Not so simple Answer:
Revision of hardware. Making updates and changes to chips is easy, and you OR he may have different version. Ram does mean something, but mostly In TYPE and SPEED.
I post the Compare chart....YOURS IS 400, PRO is 600 RAM speed.
You have the 9600, or the 9600SE...
9600 is 128bit pipe, and SE is 64.. you get 2x's the speed refresh..
k so i guess i have the SE. It works awesome for me though. Runnin CAll of Duty demo maxed out...smoothe...anyways thanks for da help.
Slick
