Ya, get the Sennheiser HD280 Pros. They're around $50 with free shipping...

For the money, you can't beat the Sennheiser MX series earbuds. The MX-500s (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004Z0BO/qid=1097474425/sr=8-2/ref=pd_csp_2/104-5344530-2967917?v=glance&s=pc&n=507846) sound better than a lot of earphones that were a lot more expensive.

I'm looking for some decent white earphones to match the iPod. So does anyone have some suggestions.

Personally I don't understand this 'any phone as long as it's white' thing. It's beyond silly IMO.
The white version of the Sony MDR-EX71SL is an 'in-ear' phone which jams a little way inside the ear to throw more sound down your ear canal while keeping out outside noises. It's not brilliant but it's OK for the money.
The Shure E3c is about $130 and has a white body. It's very clear and keeps out even more noise. The cheaper Shure E2c (~$80)is clear, which I'm sure will bother you because it's not white but it's probably the best bang for the buck for this kind of thing.
The (also $130ish) Etymotic ER-6i is clear, but (wahey!) has a white cable. I haven't heard the 6i but I would think it's in the same class as the E3c.

Well if white and stylishness are your favor, then the Sony MDR-Q66LW in white are the best bang for your buck, and they are so pleaasing to the eye. These phones are not available in US retail. Got them from igearbox.com couple months ago. I'm planning to sell these phones, PM me if you are interesting.
Once again, I highly recommend you try the Sennheiser 550s, they are great ear buds for the price.

I too am looking for headphones for my very own Ipod so since you are asking the question that I was just a few days ago I will share my finding with you...
I recommend the Eytmotic ER-6i (as said above), its a little higher than what you want to pay but they are very good, plus they definately go with the look of the Ipod with the sleek design and white cord. It is especially good if you are into music that requires good bass quality, ie: trance and techno, because thats what it does... deliver good bass. It also blocks out the majority of external noises keeping you from having to turn the volume up to high.
If however you are going to mainly be listening to pop, rock and that kind of music, I recommend the Shure E3c (also said above) because despite the fact that it lacks the great bass quality and output of the ER-6i (but not by much) it gives an amazingly clear and crisp sound for that type of music. It too however it does cost a bit more than the ER-6i.

You can check out out review of the E3C here. If I were into more acoustic/non-technoy music, they would be my first choice. But if you like your bass, go with the cheaper E2Cs. Not as crisp, but great quality and more vibrant bass.
