I recently purchased an iRiver iHP-140 (in fact only i got it three days ago) and it was working perfectly up until this morning. When i turned it on this morning it is displaying an error message saying 'Check HDD connection' and it then says 'Check HDD'. It doesnt access any folders and when connected to my PC is doesnt show up either. I have not done anything (to my knowledge) that would damage it in anyway, like dropping it or getting it wet. Is there anyway i can fix it myself or am i going to have to send it away to get fixed?
Cheers in advance!

My ihp-120 had the same problem. I contacted iriver and they are having me send mine back. They willl then send me a replacement. I guess I lose the music stored on it though.
sounds like your hard drive died. that happened to a ihp-120 that my old job had.

Urr... connect to PC, go to iHP drive and delete files. :poke
If you're asking how you can delete it from within the player, I got rid of my H before they released the firmware update to delete files... maybe someone else can shed some light on that.

Please Do I Dont Have The Software For The Computer
Connect to your pc, go to My Computer, browse to your iHP, select the tracks you want to delete, delete.
OR, run a player application, like Windows Media Player 10 or RealPlayer, go to their device view, browse to your music on the iHP and delete.
