A news article at CNN.com is suggesting that Google's new search tool could prove to be a privacy risk when installed on shared computers.

"People who use public or workplace computers for e-mail, instant messaging and Web searching have a new privacy risk to worry about: Google's free new tool that indexes a PC's contents for quickly locating data.

Why is there a need to give beta software to the mass market when it poses security risks? Google, AOL and MSN need to hire regular testers for these kind of products. Idiots (including me) will go online and download software like this just because it sounds cool - even when its in beta form still!! ARGGHHH :P

Don't install it on shared computers ...

Soon as someone says Security Risk everyone jumps to conclusion that your computer is gonna explode. Just like every other type of warning there are varying degrees. This is like a Green / Low level security risk.

The glitch that has been fixed could have allowed malicious hackers to modify the content of the Google search results page.
