.vxd file

I just recently downloaded a .vxd file, a virtual device driver.
It is named Empire Earth crack.vxd
When I opened the file it warned me not to mess with it because I could screw up all the windows vxd files but i went ahead anyways. And it just brings up an "Open With..." screen to have a program open it.

Now im wondering how to install it or whatever, to get it to work

Any ideas?

You probably need to just copy the file over to your game directory and paste it there. You are probably replacing a file versus trying to run an actual executable file. Cracks often work that way.

I have never seen a crack where you had to replace a .vxd to get the game to work. I would have to think that this is probably a virus. BEWARE sunv. Run virus scan NOW.
