"In my more than three decades in government, I have never seen anything approaching the degree to which information flow from scientists to the public has been screened and controlled as it is now," James E. Hansen told a University of Iowa audience.

Hansen is director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York and has twice briefed a task force headed by Vice President Dick Cheney on global warming.

I am not suprised. He is able to deny that invaded Iraq for the sake of oil, global warming is an easy thing to deny compared to that.

a scientist says something about the US government not taking global warming seriously...

um.. wow

Not to insult the article or yourself, but when you then go on to say something, like what u said in your post, you ruin any shred of credibility that might have been in your argument.

Hoooopa!

OK,
This is fun.
Dealing with the government is STUPID. They wont listen to anyone but THEIR OWN Specialists.
You can have 5 dpctors tell you that "You cant Work", take this to Social security, and try to get anything....Unless its on a LIST of proscribed Problems, You got 1 chance in HELL to even get evaluated.

My point was that he wasn't very truthful about his intentions in Iraq. Also that he has made seriously wrong decisions during his presidency and choosing to ignore global warming is yet another example.

GEORGE W. Bush doesn't trust the outside world to view his US election campaign website, and that includes close ally Australia.

The US President's re-election aides said today it had cut off access to its website from certain foreign countries "for security reasons", but declined to elaborate.

Im appalled that the buget is so Abused and theres NOTHING to show for it.
we could have REpaved every hiway in the nation for the money he has spent.
we could have set up social security to be independant for another 100 years.
They could have rebuilt most of the schools in the US, and brought them up to current codes.
