The sample Html drawing that comes with Visio Viewer has the ability to show layering of the diagram.

When saving a diagram from Visio 2003 as a web page, I am not getting the same results as the sample provided with Visio Viewer. When viewed with IE the page layout is different and does not included the Page Properties nor the Layering tools like the sample. The only function I am getting are Zoom.

Any thoughts? :dunno

I liken Visio Viewer to Acrobat Reader...it just doesn't come with nearly the same functionality as its big brother (Visio and Acrobat, respectively). Plus when you save a visio diagram as something other than a .vsd I believe that you lose the ability to interact with the document as you would normally in Visio. Plus html is more limited in the things in can display and I'm not sure if Visio can save everything as a .vsd would.

//Moving this thread too.

Can you include an example? It sounds like Visio can't save stuff as HTML very well. If you are trying to do layers on the web that is DHTML and Visio probably doesn't support it.
