"Today, I'll be reviewing the Anydrive Car MP3 FM Transmitter. This unit will allow you to attach a USB flash drive, MP3 player, MD player, CD player, cassette player, or anything with an audio out and transmit it to an FM frequency for your car radio."

Kind of interesting although I tend to shy away from FM transmitters since the sound quality is not that good.

I'm curious, though, about the FM transmitters (if it is the correct word) that are plugged inline with the antenna. I think they use these on satellite radio head units or whatever, but they have stereo inputs, usually through RCA jacks (I think). This to me would eliminate some of the "reception" related quality issues. Then again I may just not have any idea about what I'm saying :P

CD Changers use them too some of the time. The sound quality is good enough for average listeners.

My understanding is that an FM transmitter doesn't plug in to an RCA or audio input of any type. It transmitts is over the air, thus "FM". I had a CD changer back in the day that was FM transmitter based. It was OK, you just tuned into an odd station like 87.5 to listen to it.
Most cars that are installing the satellite radio units aftermarket use an FM transmitter. But if you get a head unit that supports XM or Sirius, then it would have direct inputs into it.

This device is ok, pretty decent. It lacks a lot of bass. It was pretty clear most of the time, it all depends on what FM station you use.
ALso it only comes with the car lighter adapter. It would have been nice to have the regular wall charger or an included adapter. Also the space around the USB port is very narrow. So the fatter USB sticks won't fit in there without an adapter.
