I must get 30 e-mails a day from other sites asking us to link to their reviews. We post some of them in our news section, but wind up deleting a lot as well. Would you guys be interested in having me post them here in the forums?

I have posted a couple here tonight.

Only if they are a picky as we are.
Unbiased,
Both sides of the story, pro's and con's.
Reports on improvemented products, insted of 50 reviews on NOTHING NEW, same problems, same Crap.

But,
wouldnt that cut back on the goods recieved for This sites Reviews...

You know what would be cool.. If we could add a link to their review if we have it in our review section. Mass linkage, provide the person browsing with as many view points on people who used it as we can. You know on the tab's " Summary Full Review
Specs User Reviews Buy Now "we could add a links tab where we put all that info.

Its nothing yet but it will be - its still in a late beta stage.

Once I can get review sites to come and add their reviews (new and old) to the system or get some volunteers to help me out (eventually hopefully for pay), then the database will increase tremendously.

We put a lot of efforts into making sure readers could add new product reviews or links to exisiting reviews (for admin approval); that removes the need for a membership login concept.

Nice site. That is what I was thinking of.

I realize that there are more sites like it, how do you think it compares to neoseeker as far as ease of use?

We're just starting out - so theres not a ton of reviews listed yet, but we're gaining day by day.

neoseekers biggest advantage over your site is the integration of the custom built forum software into their product descriptions. forums promote repeat visits by faciliting interaction between people who use them.

thats funny that you are mentioning that - If i can get the forums integrated into the site itself, I will do just that and have a link from each product item to its own forum post.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I looked at Neoseekers layout the way it displays its links etc, and maybe (ofcourse I am) I am a little biased, but I think the way things are laid out on hardware ranking is way more intuitive (and purdy).

yeah - i talked to my programmer and he said it would be possible (everything is possible) but it wouldn't be cheap (nothing ever is).

But what I am considering is if I can get the forums to be skinned like the sites themselves, I can always manually create posts and link them from the summary page.

Update... I moved all my forums to one concentric place - www.talkshack.com using VB... yes, I succumbed to the pressure.

Ian, what does one have to do to get listed on the link page?

Thanks,

Just a suggestion, would you consider simpler sites with a less clutter interface? I mean, as a reader, I like sites with a clean look (No offence to the sites suggested in this thread) :)

it all depends if they are professional, good content thats relevant, etc.

I personally get tons from people that sell things from light bulbs to kids books. They just have some type of spam bot that sends the exact same messages, or very similiar ones.
