installing windows xp pro

quick question here: one of my other comps is installed with win 98 at the moment. If i wanted to install win xp pro, would i haf to install win xp home edition first then upgrade to win xp pro or could i just go from win 98 to win xp pro?

Straight accross...
BUT,
There wont be anything left...DONT use UPGRADE, you are asking for LOTS of problems as they are NOT the same, in any way, shape or form.
A FULL INSTALL, nothing less. Everything will be wiped off your computer unless you take it off and back it up. CD backup for internet Favotires, email address's, and any DATA you wish to keep...
ALSO... Download your NEEDED hardware drivers FIRST... If ya got a DELL/COMPAQ/HP, they have them, IF NOT, you will need to HUNT them up by Manufactour name... BURN them to CD... THEn install XP pro.
