From everything I have read this is NOT the PMP to buy. The reviews have all been pretty bad with a 6/10 score being the average.

"The Zen Portable Media Center is a revolutionary device. Okay, the idea of a portable player that can play video isn't new, but hey.. it's the first one I can get my hands on in Malaysia!

But it's definitely not a device that I can recommend to everyone. Oh sure, for the price you pay (RM 2099 or USD 552), you get decent capacity, a screen that doesn't make you squint and a battery that is worth its weight in battery life. But most people will be put off by two things.

First, the Zen PMC is not very pocketable. Secondly, most videos need to be re-encoded before they can be moved into the Zen. This wouldn't be too much of a problem except that the encoding process is a bit screwed up, thanks to the way WMP10 handles non-4:3 ratio video files.

The typical response that I get when I show people the Zen PMC is that wouldn't it be better off buying a Pocket PC and a reasonable-sized memory card instead?"

This just looks way too clunky IMO
