Siemens has 1 Gbit/sec wireless link
siemens-1gbitlink.jpgSiemens today announced that researchers at the Siemens Communications Group department have developed wireless technology capabale of speeds up to 1 Gbit/sec (1000 megabits per second). WiFi currently tops out at around 50 megabits per second, which is still quite faster than technologies in the US like EV-DO that top out at a little over 2 megabits second. Howver, don’t hold out for the new tech anytime soon:
