John Mayer - Heavier Things

Anyone ever try to rip this album? I am not sure if its because of the "PC Extras" on the CD but it crashes WMP 10 everytime I try to rip it. It locks up the whole computer.

Why do record labels do this? I bought the CD and I want to listen to it on my MP3 player...

I havent, I will try that next. I am trying to use WMP10 so I can report any bugs to Microsoft (Remember that award I got).

Have you just done a DIR on the disk, and then just copy everything over?? RAW.

I had this problem when there was a Scratch on the disk, data corrupted and froze comp. I LOOKEd at the disk as a drive and GRABBEd the music, and such... Then converted it off the HD.

I am thinking that if it does have DRM than MSFT is going to repsect that and not allow you to rip the album.... but i don't know if that albumn is DRM protected or not .... would be nice if there was a list somewhere

I was able to rip 9/10 songs. I think the CD Extra PC content is throwing the rippers off on the last track. I will have to let MS know.
