Dell DJ vs. iPod

I am leaning towards purchasing a Dell DJ. Anyone have any pros/cons regarding the battery? I understand that when the battery needs to be replaced - the device must be sent to Dell.

I am currently looking into a refurbished discontinued model (the 15gb). My concern is that it being discontinued, would Dell still be able to replace the battery? I would hate to lose everything on my device just because a battery can't be replaced.

Any comments would be appreciated.

i agree with "theguy" ipods have so much accessories and the quality of an ipod, plus the ease of use is unbeatable

I say go and get the Dj only the new version is 212 bucks on sale right now so you might as well go newer. the Ipod guys just can't face that the Ipod is not as good as the DJ. The DJ does everything the Ipod does only 100 bucks cheaper :sponge
