hey guys.

alright, my ipod mini works fine when i download my music from itunes into it. however, i'd like to use windows media player to put my music on there instead. it'd be a lot eaiser. i can't stand itunes. anyway... everytime i try to put my music on there using wmp none of the songs show up when i browse though my ipod. but when i check itunes it will tell me that my ipod is half way full. so the songs ARE on there.. i just cant see them.

any clue as to what i should do? thanks.

It is a strange iPod question. WMP doesn't work with iPod. Get your head around iTunes (hardly rocket science) and you'll discover it's one of the best 'loaders' around.

Alternatives? Try Anapod from Red Chair Software and Media Center from j.River. These may be more suited to those working in a less iTunes compatible manner. There are other loaders around... Go to iPodlounge.com for much better info than here.

Oh you will see it work with WMP. The Sales Rep however is clueless. WMP will recognise the iPod as a removable disk. iPod however needs the music put in Music folder and also the onboard database updated. WMP does none of these things. So while you can of course press Sync and it will dump all of your MP3 files onto the iPod, the iPod will not see those tracks.
