Is there a program that uninstalls software from your computer and makes sure it is completely uninstalled without any left over remnants? My father's friend would like to give away his computer and wants to make sure that everything personal is uninstalled.
The help would be appreciated!
I aint seen one that works AFTEr the fact.
ONLY when its been installed on the machine FIRST, then everything installed AFTER, can be.
I also havent seen a good one.
I'd rather have a prog that WATCHES all INSTALLs, to tell me where the Spit(sp) went.

Clean your drive...

Fdisk, format, and redo the whole thing...about 2 hours of work, and no worry.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think he is just looking for a Windows program that lets him uninstall programs completely deleting them. Like Norton Cleansweep, but a stand alone product and not Norton or McAfee made. (you know I hate those all-in-one utility programs).
Then there really isnt one that will Clean the reg, find unneeded files, forgotten files, kill key files(like demoware leaves behind so you cant RELOAD it), and can sort all the Windows DIR files and tell you WHICH arent needed anymore.

I use. "TuneUp Utilities 2004" VERY AWESUM! For Uninstall, I use, Ad/Remove Programs Plus! Highly Recommend these two.
An Add/remove program should kill ALL that was installed..
Have a demo program, that expires, then reload it...BET it wont run, because it left a FILE on the machine.
tuneup works pretty good..But dont ya think that it would have been a good utility for windows to make in the first place???
