I recently purchased the mpio fy400 and yes it has all of the features that you mentioned but I can't get it to play more than one song at a time, sequentially or randomly, even after choosing RANDOM play from the playback options. Does anyone know if there is a secret to getting this to play more than one song at a time without popping out to the directory? I had the same problem with the fl300, so I returned it for the fy400. I exhausted the resources on the mpio web site and have contacted tech support without any response! Can anyone help?!
I dont have an mpio, but does it support folders? If so, try clicking play on a folder, artist, or genre.
Play list???
Master play list of all music and its locations.???

I'm hoping you found out the answer to your problem, because I'm having the SAME problem with my FL300, and hoping you can tell me the solution!
I've noticed that the problem is inconsistent: with some folders, it will only play one song at a time (and won't play particular songs at all, even if selected!). With others, it will continue from one song to the next through the folder. I'm noticing, when on Random play, that some particular songs seem to make it hang up.
Now I'm wondering if there's a format flaw with particular tracks, or the way I copied them?
Are you on Mac (like me) or Windows, or something else?
Anyway for you to check the music format..
MP3 has more then 1 format.

I don't know, but I'll go see if I can figure that out. Here's what I do know, already:
Every track I've downloaded to the MPIO plays fine in iTunes, including the ones that don't seem to play at all on the MPIO. The tracks that don't work at all on the MPIO were downloaded at the same time and from the same place as other tracks that DO play (so I wouldn't think they'd have different formats). And I thought maybe the problem was associated with downloaded (legally, thank you!) files vs. copying a CD I own ... but that doesn't seem to make a difference, either (although I haven't yet run across a track copied from a CD that doesn't play at all on the MPIO).
Any other thoughts? (And I'll see if I can figure out the MP3 format when I get off this message.)
