"he resolution of this sensor has also been doubled from 400dpi to 800dpi which is great for those with large screen monitors. "

So they have two LED's in the bottom of the mouse? I don't see how this means that the mouse is better for people with large screen monitors.

it'll help because the mouse will be able to better track your movements, with a bigger screen, you have to move farther, with other mice, if you move to fast, the mouse can't keep up and will stop moving because it lost track, with the increased dpi, the mouse will be able to keep up. I've read it can handle 1 meter per second...

We recommend charging the MX700 for a full 6 hours before using it to prevent a “memory” build up of the rechargeable batteries. You can expect to receive up 500-1000 charges before having to replace the batteries. By preventing a memory build up in the batteries, you should expect longer life from them.

Since the batteries are NiMH, they do not have the "memory" problem other batteries have, so you don't have to worry about always discharging them fully then full charging them so they don't get into a set pattern. you can charge whenever you want, for how much you want, and it will not degrade the batteries...

a nice review otherwise, just wanted to make that comment.
Thanks

review the Logitech MX 700 Cordless Optical Mouse

"The wireless optical mouse has been relatively stable for the last few
years with companies targeting business and home users with the promise
of solid performance with their regular applications. However many hard
core game enthusiasts stay away from wireless optical mouse since the
data rates of these input devices are not great enough for their games.
Even a slower paced game such as Warcraft III can prove to be too much
for a regular wireless optical mouse. Not a gamer? Many optical mouse
users often encounter surfaces which prove to be annoying to use with
their mouse devices. This can translate to jerky mouse movements as one tries to do simple interactions with their desktops. Enter in the new
Logitech MX 700 mouse with its improved optical engine and usage of fast RF cordless technology. Could this be the solution to the gamers out
there as well as a solid replacement to regular optical mouse devices
all around?"

I was fortunate enough to get one of these mice for my self,, and I love it. It's surprizingly easy handling as the mouse glides across the screen with little effort. It fits my hand great with it's smooth lines and easy clicking. It's a bit heavy, but that just makes the mouse feel more like solid insted of it feeling like it's gonna break in your hand if you handle it too rough. They extra well controls are very nice for when I have to scroll through a long forum or email. Insted of rolling the wheel constantly, i just press the button down and hold it. I could how ever just click the wheel to do that, but then if you were to move the mouse in such a way that you didn't want too, ( like we have all done ) then the page that your scrolling is now either all the way down or up. this way, we just let go of the buttone insted of having to try to press the wheel button again.

All in all, I like it. I recomend picking one up if you have the means. It's not a must have or your going to die without it, it's more of a want than a need. But when you do get it, you'll thank your self for it later.

"I had read so many articles and praise about the Logitech MX-700; I decided to give it a try. Now understand, after 13 years of trackball use, this was a momentous decision that required fortuitous insight through the use of a six-pack. I decided to go for it."
