Black Screen Windows XP 800 x 600

Just installed update for Windows XP. Upon restart screen went black. I can only access my computer in VGA mode at 1024 x 760. What is going on? Thank you.

Have you tried updating your video card drivers? Your current ones may not be SP2 compatible.

Did you do AUTO UPDATE...?
DONT DO THAT..
It installs hardware updates as well.
An ASUS video card with Nvidia chipset..
ISNT an Nvidia card..
But windows cant TELL that.. so it installs the Nvidia drivers and MESSes EVERYTHING up...
