This is a new Windows XP (home edition).
Just couple of days ago I found everytime if I closed a www window, this pc needed to be restarted again.
Now I had installed Ad-Aware (SE), but it still needs to be restarted.
This is a really annoying problem. Please anybody here give me some idea.
Thank you very much.

This is definitely not normal windows behavior. If you ask me you definitely have something malicious on there. When you say this is a new windows xp home edition are you saying that you have fresh installed/formatted? I'd hate to take the easy way out, but if it is maybe what u can do is format again and fresh install. If you have a CD burner id get a new CD and slipstream the XP CD with SP2. I normally put my antivirus software and firewall on one disk and install that right after i have fresh installed so i know there was no possibility of me getting something on there.

In fact this one is newly purchased "emachine" (after thanksgiving sale). I don't have the OS CD for this home edition one, but in my office I have windows XP proffesioanl OS cd (from Dell).
The answer I would like to know is there any site effection if I install the Dell Professional OS CD to Emachine home one.
Thanks for your time.
I will say this...
IT WONT WORK...
DELL has made that disk ONLY to work on THERE systems..
Jxh,
I would check that you have your Mother board drivers set correctly. under harware manager.
YOU should ALSO have an installation of windows on the Emachines HD, someplace. I would look into recovering windows.. Tap f8 at startup..

And i think you need a good anti virus program..
