John Constantine (Reeves) is a world-travelling, mage-like misfit who investigates supernatural mysteries and the like, walking a thin line between evil and good. Constantine teams up with a female police detective, Angela (Weisz), who seeks Constantine's help while investigating the suicide-like death of her twin sister. Does it have something to do with a mysterious group called "The First of the Fallen"? And what is it about Constantine that puts him in a position where he is making deals with representatives from both Heaven and Hell?

I went and saw this movie with Dang this weekend. It wasn't bad at all. Keanne Reeves (spelling?) was OK, nothing spectacular as you can expect. I liked the special effects and some of the whitty lines.

Cheesy parts of the movie was with Balthaser says "finger licking good" and when Constantine puts in the chewing gum and the end (spoiler?).

Favorite quote: "Hey Lou, how are the kids doing?"

I can't see this movie because I'm a fan of the character from way back when he was not played by Keanu Reeves, even before he got his own comic book, Hellblazer. I might see the movie if they'd names it something else, but it's just too depressing to see Constantine played by Keanu. I can't watch.

It's not that it would be bad, it looks ok, it's just that in my mind John Constantine is a sardonic, trash-talking, foul-mouthed, blond, smart-assed, British, trenchcoat wearing character who you're never sure if he's good or evil or out for himself or saving the whole world. He never has any friends or love interests, he's a tragic and ****y character. Again... I wish they'd just called it something else.

lol I liked it. Never read any of the comic books or anything but the plot was pretty cool.

Keanu Reeves is so funny...he's the same in every movie. I was just waiting for him to say something like "I know kungfu".

Ah well, at least there was always Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure :D
