Hopefully better than the first two. Doubtful though, since George Lucas went crazy in the 80s.

It looks like it could well be the best of the new ones. Still won't redeem the the series though.
i want to see the emperor rock the jedi in that 1 scene where they confront him. i'd love to see lucas explain the sounds in his space battles... vacuum et al.

Here's the guy who's campin' out in Seattle...http://www.waitingforstarwars.blogspot.com/
Three more days!!!
I can't wait!
I'll have to go these days to theatre and reserve tickets...
And from the pictures i saw, i belive that it would be really great, just like episode 1 & 2!
But i think that episodes 3-6 sucked big time, but that's becouse i'm the younger generation and these three movies were really boring, no efects, no action, very slow and so on...

And don't tell off the ending when you see it!! :D ;)
when you guys see it, can you just post if it's worth going to a theatre for.

6,4,5,2,1
Is how I rank it... but that is just me. I liked the Ewoks!
The most commonly accepted ranking is:
5,4,6,2,1
so according to the most commonly accepted ranking that would make the 3rd one the 3rd best star wars movie.

It was really good! I went to a AMC 30 and every single theatre was playing it and almost all were full. We got there 30 min ahead of time and couldn't find 3 seats together ... doh! Some of it was distrubing, the choices anakin makes when he goes over to the darkside. The Yoda battle kicked major ass! The wookie army/battle frikken RULED. Obi Wan did awesome job fighting the General Droid guy. It was soooooooooo much better than the last two.
WOW! Now after seeing your post, i can't wait to see it! I bught tickets for saturday, but i am afraid i will burst till then! ;D
In your opinion, is it worth seeing more than once?? :)

At one point in the film, Anakin Skywalker says (just before becoming Darth Vader), 'You are either with me, or you are my enemy.' Of course, we all clearly remember when President Bush said, 'You're either with us or against us in the fight against terrorism.'"

Saw the movie today. I give it a B- I liked all the action, but some of the acting was terrible. And although the computer animation was better than 1 and 2, there was still too much of it going on for me.

Corny line of the movie: "Anakin, hold me like you did by the lake on Naboo" haha there were a ton of cheesy one liners.

It was ok I guess, she only had like 9 lines the whol movie...
BEST. STAR WARS. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was so amazingly great that i belive no movie in the future will be able to compete with it!!! Everithing was great, but especially the fights. On the beggining with ships, the greivus and the ending betwen yoda and palaptine! Lord greivus vas definetly the best new character! But that padme... grhufff... her acting was beyond terrible, especialy that "crying" in the end when anakin told her that he's a sith, was a very good candidate for golden raspberry. But except for her, everithing was GREEEEEEEEEEAATTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

George Lucas' final "Star Wars" movie scored the second-best three-day weekend of all time on Sunday, but the Force was not strong enough to prevent overall ticket sales in North America from posting a year-on-year-decline for the 13th consecutive weekend.
"Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" sold an estimated $108.5 million worth of tickets for the Friday-to-Sunday period, taking its total to $158.5 million since it opened after midnight on Thursday.
Its four-day haul sets a new record, surpassing the $134.3 million tally of 2003's "The Matrix Reloaded." Its Thursday tally of $50 million also set a one-day record, beating the $44.8 million sum for "Shrek 2" last year.
The three-day weekend record is held by "Spider-Man," which opened to almost $115 million in 2002. "Revenge of the Sith" narrowly pipped "Shrek 2," which opened with $108 million. Rankings could change when final data are issued on Monday.

Full weekend chart says Gross was $159 million. Maybe that is overseas too?

go see it so we kick Shrek 2 out of top spot !! only 7.1 million to go !! reheh
I still have a debate here.
$15mil at $10 per person?? 1.5 million ppl..
compare to $150,000 at .35...and still making profits 50+ years later...

I totally have to agree with you guys about the corny lines and some of the acting. But Lucas' strength has never been in writing great dialogue; at this point I think it's one of his trademarks :P
Has anyone noticed how many times the infamous line "I have a bad feeling about this" appears in various episodes? (If you don't believe me, watch episodes IV and V again! LOL)

Seems like the best time to go is early in the day, if you're going on the weekend, and buy tickets online first lol. We didn't have a problem seeing it here, mainly because it's playing on so many screens per cineplex.
ya, thats what i was thinking of doing. going to the first scheduled show time during the week
i watched it at home on the weekend. i really enjoyed it. also watched 1+2 a few days before; they're pretty solid in succession.
did you watch the Anime also...follows the clone wars...
i've seen 1/2 of them. they do a good job of tying ep2 with ep3.
the whole thing is out on DVD...go get it..
i know, just haven't had the time to yet. i'm finally gonna get around to watching the new appleseed movie tonight :)
I watched it now 8 times!! :)
I'm not a freak, right?? :)
And it's still very good, i could watch the Gravous fight for a billion times, and still wouldn't have enough of it!!!
Nothing's wrong with me, right?? :D

AppleSeed is a killer movie, is it out on DVD yet?
i want to see appleseed too
AppleSeed is a killer movie, is it out on DVD yet?
yeah, it came out a little while ago. still haven't had time to watch it. i like the 'no late fees' blockbuster has now :D
apple seed is a fun movie; the story is pretty decent and the animation quality is excellent. the character animation is extremely poor though, it's rather sad. reminds me of late 90s quality.
the sound design is top notch and end battle is very nice.
